And a visit to the Snow

We finally made it to the snow this year. I envy people who live where it snows three or four times a year, you know, just enough to be exciting and not enough to be a nuisance. My sister Megan came with us to my Grandparents house over the weekend and then we headed east to Lassen National Forest.

We went to a place called Eskimo Hill, I had gone there when I was a kid a few times with my Aunt Sue leading the way. It was so much fun for me to see it snowing again, the kids were kind of indifferent about it. We had a few snowball fights and found an abandoned sled and went sledding down the hill. For some reason we could not get the snow to ball up enough to make a snowman, but it was fine because the kids only lasted about fourty-five minutes. After several cups of hot chocolate and the warmed up car we headed home. Next year we will try to stay much longer, it is so much fun! Here are a few bonus pictures. Audrey attempting to make a snowball and JJ's rosy cheeks (it was pretty cold!).
